Fireworks in Inverness July 3rdThe City of Inverness’s July 3rd Patriotic Evening will end the same way it begins: High Energy!

A barrage of rockets and shells will illuminate the skies at the City’s annual patriotic event at Liberty and Wallace Brooks Parks. The evening once again features non profit food booths, patriotic concerts and children’s games.

~ Combined Accident Reduction Effort aims to save lives ~

TAMPA, Fla. - Col. John Czernis, director of the Florida Highway Patrol, announced today the commencement of a statewide traffic enforcement initiative entitled Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort), which focuses on violations for speed, lack of safety belt use, and Driving Under the Influence.  The 72-hour campaign begins July 3, 2009, and runs through July 5, 2009.  The operation is part of a national program aimed at reducing the number of traffic crashes on interstate highways during holiday weekends.
